  Born in covered wagon on way to Russia from Germany, as told to Alfred Walter Reschke by his father Rudolf about 1976 when he visited his son Al and Elaine in Fremont, CA. "Adolf was a teacher at Univ. of Kiev; also lawyer, preacher. Spent some time in Kreis Konets, West Prussia, in 1912. Later moved to Karft by Whittenberg, Germany. Returned to Germany in 1912 with family. Was drafted into German army 1914. Went to Brazil abt 1922-1924." May have had a brother, August, who also went to Brazil.
  Adolf went back to Germany, was not a good farmer, but was a religious fanatic. His testimonial was typed. He moved from town to town teaching. Was well educated, a teacher and minister. Wrote the biography of his father (1835-1925).
  Karft is where sons were living when they immigrated to USA in 1922-23.
