March 14, 1898 James D. Cunningham Dead Mr. James D. Cunningham died at his home on Blue Spring Creek, Tuesday afternoon. He had been sick several weeks, and old age was the principal cause of his death. He fought through the Confederate army, and was an ole line Jeffersonian Democrat; a leading member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and a clever gentleman. He leaves six children, all grown, and hosts of friends. His wife precede him to the grave about three years.?
