Note:   * The old Malachi home place on Raymon Hayden Cunningham's farm is in dilapidated condition; the cemetery is just up the hill to left from the old house; on 3/19/1956 a large tombstone was placed in the Creekmur family graveyard with the following names: Malachi and wife, son George and wife Nancy (Cunningham) Creekmur, children of George and Nancy: Mack, Mary, Bart, Lina, Nancy Ann, Malinda, Ellen, Ambie, Child (Grasty), Tommy. This tombstone is the only stone left standing in the graveyard - all the others have been knocked over and broken into pieces by the cattle roaming over it, as the wire fence that once surrounded the graveyard has fallen down. When I let Bertie know of the condition of the graveyard, she was appalled, because she said all the families had contributed to pay for the large stone to be put up - she said she was going to call comeone regarding this, but I don't know if she followed through on ir or not. It was a shame to see it in this degrading condition. The cemetery that adjoins it, the Mitchell/Gillespie Cemetery, still had the wire fence surrounding it, but the weeds were higher than the tombstones, so you couldn't see who the gravestones were for. Hopefully the situation was remedied. (from Cunningham Family, Leaves from the Family Tree, by Marqua Duncan, 2002)
