Cunningham's Mother Dies in Paducah Splendid Lady Passes Away At Age of Eight-Three Says the Paducah Sun of Tuesday: After a long illness of heart trouble, Mrs. Margaret Ann Cunningham, 83 years of age, widow of Andrew G. Cunningham, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at her home, 626 North Sixth Street. Mrs. Cunningham was Miss Margaret Ann Hughes and was born June 22, 1836, in Dublin, Ky. She was married to A. G. Cunningham on March 23, 1837, and moved to Paducah from Lowes, in 1891. Mrs. Cunningham was a splendid Christian woman, and was beloved by an unusually large circle of friends. She possessed many fine traits of character and her life was a beautiful and helpful one. She had been a member of the Baptist church for 61 years. The following children survive: Rev. John T. Cunningham, Princeton, Ky.; Rev. E. H. Cunningham, Nashville, Tenn.; George L. Cunningham, Cadiz, Ky.; W. J. Cunningham, Massac, Ky.; B. H. Cunningham, Misses Maude and Virginia E. Cunningham, Mrs. D. A. Meacham, Mrs. Valeria Sandy, all of this city. Two sisters are: Mrs. Sarah Boyd, Marion, Ky., and Mrs. Lutishia Porter, Kennett, Mo. With the exception of the Rev. E. H. Cunningham, all the children were at their mother's bedside. (July 2, 1919)
