Notes
a. Note:   Dad emigrated to the U.S. in 1911, possibly with a brother Robert. Dad's wife Jane, came over
to the U.S. after Dad, but before 1915, when Anna was born (9/4/1915) .She traveled with her children Jean, James, David, Peter, and Jennie (Jennie died in 1915 after Anna was born.)
Dad emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland on June 1, 1911, arriving in Boston, Massachusetts on June 4, 1911, arriving on the SS Parisian. ( I have a picture of the Ship SS Parisian and it's history )
He filed a "Declaration of Intention" on November 20, 1920 for citizenship
He filed a "Petition For Naturalization" on November 20, 1927
He received his "Certificate of Naturalization" on March 28, 1928. I do not know when his sister Jean came over here or even if she did. I have a picture of Dad and his Sister Jean together. Also a picture of Dad an his sons but for some reason, Joe cut his picture out.I also do not know if Dad had any more brothers or sisters. Confusion sometimes arises when the name Janet (Jannette) Jean (Jeanie and Jennie ) Jane (Jennie) are used on my documents. I don't think this was done to confuse all the Genealogists. In Renton, Scotland, Dad lived at 142 Back Street ( still there today ) His wife lived in Alexandria, but I cannot make out the street name, only that the number was 313. Dad worked as a Machinist at Walker Manufacturing Company (his Mother's brother) till he died in 1950.
