Notes
a. Note:   David died in SC between 1816-1818, believed to have died in 1817. He left a will providing for Elizabeth and seven children. She sold the property and moved to Indiana. They no doubt came over the Cumberland Gap in the Appilachian mountains and followed the Wilderness Road thru Tn & Ky. Daniel Boone had been instrumental in helping a land investor to buy the land from the Indians and hiring men to cut a road thru the timber. Elizabeth bought ground south of Caskey's. There were three boys. John, Reuben and David. Reuben married a Wilson and bought ground E. of Somerville. They had three sons: David R, John & James. David was Hilda Martin's grandfather.Rueben died at Murphresboro Tn from an injury in the Civil War. John & David R came back from the war. James did not go. John became Rosetta McGregor's grandfather. David was the father of 19 that lived on the curve E. of Somerville.
Rachel & Mary evidently moved West. Margaret was Martha Dean's great grandmother. Nancy became Clydia Barrett's grandmothe. I knew Clydia's mother Ruth, dau of Nancy. We think Elizabeth was buried out near Winfrey Parke's place. The coal Co. bought the ground and hired the graves moved to the Townsley Cemetery E. of Mackey. Elizabeth is probably buried in one of the graves with the work "Unknown" on the stone.
