  1940 City Directory, Bogalusa, LA, lists B. Alonzo Smith, wife Sally, owns home at 718 St. Joseph [sic: should be St John].
  CENSUS 1880 Copiah Co. MS, Gallatin Precinct (Beat 1), probably west of Hazlehurst, age 12, with father and stepmother. 1900 Copiah Co MS, Dillard Precinct (Beat 1) near Gallman village, farmer on rented land. 1910 Lincoln Co MS (probably SE of Wesson) in rented house and worked as farm laborer.
  Moved to Bogalusa in 1911. Residing at 911 St. John St., Bogalusa, La., at time of death. Bracy and Sallie were members of the Union Avenue Baptist Church at 814 Union Avenue, near their residence at 911 St. John Street in Bogalusa. An historical marker outside the church reads, "Organized by eleven charter members in a log cabin at Pool's Bluff in 1855. Was first organized church, and its building housed first school in Bogalusa area. Several log buildings, also used as schools, were occupied until 1874, when first lumber church was built. Moved to present location in 1913." Was section foreman for Gulf, Mobile, and Ohio Railroad in Bogulusa. Retired about 1934. Buried in Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA.
