Notes
a. Note:   . He started working on his genealogy during the 1960's, and hired a Danish researcher by the name of Ingar Ludlow to help him. He completed a lot of temple work for his ancestors through the research that Ingar completed.
On the 100th anniversary of his birth, Johan's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren got together to celebrate his birth. The family gathering was highlighted by completing some temple work for the Johansen family. Each family member wrote a letter to Grandpa, sharing memories about him and asking questions for which we don't know answers. A book about the life of Johan Roy Tolve Johansen is being finalized in memory and honor of his life.
Note:   Johan was known by his family and friends as "Joe" or "Roy"
