Note: On muster rolls(WO12.1949) of 2nd. Btn. Royal Scots from Sept. 1783-25th.June 1788 in Gibraltar. Reputedly came back after Trafalgar, certainly he borrowed �55 from his brother Cosmo in 1806, and is then said to have re-"joined as a common soldier". If this was the case then his discharge papers would be with his last regiment. Buried in family grave at Ellon.[Smith.FTW]
