Note: DEATHS Mark Wielkens Spent high school years here Mark Alan Wielkens, 36, died unexpectedly in Miami, Fla., on Feb. 8. Born Jan. 18, 1955, in Houston, texas, he moved to Helena in 1971 and graduated from Helena High School in 1973. He was an all-star baseball player in Houston and participat-ed in many sports, including mountain climbing. He sang with the Helena High choir and en-joyed music. He left Helena for Tempe, Ariz., in 1980 and had recently moved to Miami. Survivors include: his father, ~Al Wielkens, and brother Mike, both of Helena; his mother, Claudia of Sacramento, Calif., and a sister, Sandy Lewis of Sac-ramento. Cremation has taken place. There will be no Helena services. Man slain on crime-ridden street A man was shot- to death Saturday afternoon along what police call "a hot street" for crime in the northeast section of Miami. The man Was found dead away from the edge of the pavement and alongside an apartment building in the 600 block of Northeast 85th Street. He had been shot in the chest about 3:30 p.m. The door of what apparently was his car - an old, yellowish-beige Pontiac with Rhode Island license plates --- was ajar next to his body. No information was available from Miami police about the iden-tity of the man. Officers at the scene of the shooting said the area is a common site for street crime. Late Saturday, police said they were looking for two teen-age suspects.
