b. Note:   [ Arnold was born in Ironwood Mi. and moved with his parents, Albert & Liisa Mattson, to Oma Township Wi. in 1908.
 He attended schools there.
 When he married in 1930, he and Helia resided with her mother Maria S. Helli, at the Helli Farm in Ironwood. Later he built their home at the corner of Lake & Slade Roads in Ironwood Toenship.
 He joined The People's Oil Company in 1931, and was with the Texas Co. from 1948-1955 when the Chief Oil Co. was formed. He was a partner in that company until retiring in August 1965.
