Note: Captian Richard Dodge was a farmer in Wenham, Massachusetts. He was captain ofa company of volunteers from the 3rd Regiment of militia from Essex County, Massachusetts, raised under resolve 22 Sept 1777 and serveed from Sept 30 to Nov 7, 1777, when they were discharged at Cambridge. In the will of his farther,dated 20 April 1778, the son is styled Major. His own will was dated 8 March1801, and proved 7 June 1802.
