Copyright 1984-2017 FamilyHart, Inc (A Nonprofit Corporation) -.Her obituary in the "Centre Daily Times" of 2 Jan 1996 read: "Martha Ivan Plumacher Hoy Tressler, 73, of State College, died Friday, Dec. 29, 1995, at the University Park Nursing Center. She was born June 25, 1922, in Buffalo, N. Y., a daughter of the late Michael C. Plumacher and Kathryn Hoy. On Oct. 22, 1943, she married Leonard Evy Tressler Sr., who died Aug. 18, 1987. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Houserville. A 1941 graduate of State College Area High School, she was a secretary at the office of optometrist Dr. Stein until her retirement. She was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Boalsburg Heritage Museum. She was a member of the Lemont Woman's Club. She enjoyed needlepoint sewing, reading, and baking. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara A. Dillon of Hilton Head, S.C., Karen L. Berner of State College and Beth M. Tressler of Raleigh, N.C.; three sons, Leonard E. Tressler Jr. of Leola, Nathan M. Tressler of State College and Daniel C. Tressler of Richmond, Va.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Houserville, with the Rev. Michael G. Trimmer officiating. Burial will be at the Houserville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 121 1/2 E. Beaver Ave., State College, Pa. 16801."
