Note: North Platte Telegraph Wed. December 6, 2000 Robert Maurice Donnelly, 87, of North Platte died Dec. 4, 2000, at Premier Estates in North Platte. He was born June 21, 1913, at Fullerton to Charles Franklin and Hattie Caswell Donnelly. On July 7, 1944, he married Henrietta Brand at Smith Center, Kan. He owned and operated Donnelly's Battery Shop. He also worked for the City of North Platte Sanitation Department for many years. He operated his own auto salvage yard before he retired. He lived in or around North Platte for the remainder of his life. Mr. Donnelly is survived by his wife; a daughter, Jean (Herb) Anderson of North Platte; two sons, Marvin (Bridget) Donnelly of San Antonio and Larry (Dorothy) Brand of Hickory Ridge, Ark.; grandchildren, Kari Donnelly of Colorado Springs, Colo., Maurice Donnelly of Poteet, Texas, Paul Anderson of Fremont and Travis Anderson of North Platte; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kaitlynn Anderson of Fremont and Zachary Donnelly of Poteet; eight stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Maurice in 1971; his parents; two sisters, Elsie Snyder and Gladys Clark; and five brothers, Oscar, Harold, William, Frederick and Everett. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army Church in North Platte with Captain Kris Wood officiating. Burial will be in North Platte Cem. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte.
