a. Note:   ad never been recorded. When the McMillans took over his homeplace in 1875 after a court battle with Dee's father buried on it, Dee settled for $10 in hand. A later marriage certificate in 1902 shows that a D.E. Elliott married a Sarah in Panola County. We dont know what happened to Dee. So far there is no death certificate or any documents showing his name after 1902. Still searching.
