Continued: ASHLAND DAILY INDEPENDENT Published August 23, 1994 EVANS, Leola Hay 1925 - 1994 Leola Hay Evans, 69, of Martha, died Tuesday, August 23, 1994, in Paul B. Hall Medical Center at Paintsville. Mrs. Evans was born June 6, 1925, at Martha, a daughter of the late Martin and Georgianna Fannin Hay. She was a retired teacher's aide with Lawrence County schools, and a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church for 46 years. Surviving are her husband, Mont Evans, Jr.; a daughter Edwina Young of Louisa; a son, Clark Evans of Cattlesburg; six sisters, Clotine Blankenship of Titusville, Fla., Carol Barker of Cattlesburg, Ann Blackford of Urbana Ohio, Reda Wright of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Agnes Ross of Columbus, Ohio, and Glenora Nickels of Mt. Clemons, Mich.; five brothers, Robert G. Hay of Sebring, Fla., Adrian Hay of Martha, Gerland Hay of Columbus, Ohio, John Frank Hay of Louisa and Carson Hay of Ashland; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Elizabeth Baptist Church by the Rev. Danny Patrick, the Rev. Emmitt Barker, and the Rev. Floyd "Buck" West. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Young Funeral Home at Louisa.
