Phyllis Ann Allen Hembree, 83, of Madison, passed away Monday. Phyllis Ann was a very special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and teacher. He children were her proudest accomplishments. She enjoyed playing the piano and was an avid reader, especially of mysteries. She grew up in Milton, Florida and attended FSU and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she received her teaching degree and Masters. Phyllis Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Elizabeth Arnold Allen, father, Elmer Leon Allen, brother, John Allen, grandson, Robert Duboise, and granddaughter, Maggie Elisabeth Styes. Survivors include sons, Paul D. Hembree (Darlene) and Glenn A. Hembree (Shannan); daughters, Clara A. Maxcy (Larry) and Jill M. Styes (Don); grandchildren, Holly (Jeff), Robert, Samantha (Aaron), Matthew, Katie, Samuel, Ben (Lindsay), Josh, Hannah and Keegan; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Rachel, Ryder, Reese (June, 2014) and Nolen (September, 2014); brothers, Robert Allen (Sandra) and Richard Allen (Nancy); and sister, Susan Allen. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, June 13 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at the church with the Rev. Ernest Hill officiating. Burial will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Harris Chapel Cemetery, Bryant, AL with the Rev. Paul Hembree officiating. (www.laughlinservice.com) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
