This deed was proved by the oath of Augustus Smith and ordered to beregistered. Test Thomas M Smith CCC The land records of Pike Co. AL show that Jan 9, 1858 Thomas Faulk owned 279.6 acres at t:7N r:28E s:12 and that Arnold Faulk Jan 9 1860 Arnold Faulk owned 320 acres at t:7N r:28E s:13. So they must have had a close relationship. CBS thinks its Uncle Thomas and Nephew Arnold but who knows? Thomas was not listed in the 1840 census of Pike Co AL but Arnold and Joel were. There is no record of Joel owning land so he must have been living on Arnold's land.
