A STORY ABOUT HENRY FAULK Apparently Henry Faulk's father, John, was married twice and named ason by each wife Henry. This Henry Faulk was very active in politics andthere was a long obituary when he died. Ruth Yeary had this to say. 'Henry Faulk married in Georgia afterWilliam and Laura moved to Magnolia, Columbia County, Arkansas. HenryFaulk wrote to his brothet, William, to come see him as his health wasbad and he wanted to see him. William returned to Georgia by horseback.Henry asked him to go upstairs with him to see the will he had made.William advise a correction, he had willed too much to his kinfolks andnot enough to his wife Selina. So Henry changed the will and left enoughto his wife Salina. On that visit Henry gave William two slaves, pomp anda woman. William brought the slaves back with him. One rode while twowalked. In passing streams William would put one behind on the horse andswim across and then go back and get the other one. Henry Faulk and his wife Salina had one child, a daughter FalbyFaulk who died when 12 - 13 years old. Henry Faulk had the body embalmedin a steel casket with a special full length glass top well sealed. Thecasket was placed in a brick vault with an entrance so he could visit andsee his daughter when he wanted to. Mrs Lanette O'Neal Faulk of Twiggs CoGA states Henry and Celina Faulk had a dsughter, HenriettaEllen Faulkwhowas born in 1853 and died in 1857 but no one knows anything about thecasket or the vault.
