After 1800record keeping wsvery much improved. CBS THINKS that Henry Faulk Jr wasactually named John Henry Faulk Jr and was a son of John Faulk b abt1756 and his first wife. This son was known as Henry Jr to distinguishhim from his father who probably had a middle name of Henry. CBS THINKSthat the first wife died and John Faulk b abt 1756 married Sarah lastname unkown and had Milbery Faulk and siblings, one of whom was nameHenry. CBS knowing how the Faulks operated wonders why John Faulk b 1756waited so long to get married and have children. So maybe all thesechildren were grandchildren of Henry Faulk b about 1756. Who knows? CBSdoesn't. Henry Faulk Jr joined his uncles 'Black' James Faulk and Henry Faulk'Sr' about 1819 in a general immigration to Alabama. He and Henry 'Sr'eventually settled west of Clio and 'Black' James settled east ofLouisville. In Barbour Co., Alabama Henry Faulk Jr was known as 'Junior'not because he was a son of John (Henry) Faulk Sr but because he and hisuncle Henry Faulk Sr., both lived in Barbour Co., Alabama. To distinguishbetween them 'Junior' was the younger and 'Senior' was the older. HenryFaulk Jr was a Baptist while Henry Faulk Sr was a Methodist. CBS visitedBilly Morris and Easter Faulk who lived west of Clio. Billy Morris Faulktook CBS to a place on a road leading north from the Clio--Brundidge roadnear the Faulk Methodist Church.Billy Morris Faulk said that Henry Jrlived there, gave land for a Baptist church which has disappeared and he(Billy Morris Faulk) believed Henry Faulk Jr and family were buried therein a family cemetery. He said that when the road was improved it passedthrough an old cemetery which was probably the Henry Faulk Jr cemetery. Henry Faulk Jr was an important man in Barbour County and served as aJustice of Peace. Pike Co., Alabama census' 1830 p 18, 1840 and 1850 p 140; Pike Co.Alabama Deed Book A p 126.
