John works in Lumber business 1849 - Half-sister, Eva Gruber Shelly dies, leaves 8 children; youngest, Eliza Jane, 2 yrs old, now lives with them. 1850 - Census - they are living in Redbank Twp, Clarion Co, PA - Eliza is not listed with them 1858 - Sister-in-law, Lydia Mohney Gruber dies, leaves 5 children; youngest, Jacob 5 yrs old, soon lives w/ them. 1860 - Census - living in Redbank Twp, Clarion Co - and Eliza is 13 yrs old 1864 - March - first child, a son is stillborn 1865 - March - Eliza Jane Shelly married John Sherman 1865 - December - dau, Sarah Catherine is born 1867 - March - dau, Sarah Catherine dies 1867 - Sept - son, Reeder Henry is born and dies the same day; Sometime in here, the family moves to Elk City, Clarion Co 1868 - Sept - dau, Hannah Euphema is born 1870 - Census - lives in Elk City, Clarion Co - Hannah is 2 yrs and Jacob M. is 17 yrs old 1870 - Sept - son, John Wm Martin is born 1874 - Feb - dau, Ida Rebecca is born 1877 - about/ Jacob marries Emmaline (don't know her last name) 1880 - Census - living in Elk City, Clarion Co. - Fannie is 11 yrs, John is 9 yrs, Ida is 6 yrs. 1884 - about/ John has a stroke and can no longer work at the general store. Son, JWM begins working and hauls coal by wagon. 1892 - Feb - Hannah Euphema married Sidney Fuller Bell 1895 - Sep - Ida Rebecca married James Melvin Sloan. 1899 - April - John and Euphema sold some land in Elk City to their son, JWM 1904 - Sept - dies at home in Elk City, widow is Euphema. 1899 Oct - JWM married Minnie Black and begins farming with her father, Paul B. Black. 1904 Sep - John dies from abdominal cancer. Euphema goes to live with her dau, Ida. 1923 May - Euphema dies while living with dau, Ida in Binghamton, NY.
