Note: Visitation of Dad was on Tuesday, March 30, 1999, he was cremated on Wednesday March 31st and a memorial service with the VFW was held at 3pm on Thursday, April 1st, 1999. His ashes are at the Houston, VA National Cemetery. Obituary: Houston Chronicle "FRANK JOHN BERRIER, SR, passed away on March 27, 1999. He was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa on May 26, 1921. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy for six years as a ship fitter and welder. Mr. Berrier retired from Shell Chemical Company in California where he worked as a boiler maker. After retirement he continued to enjoy many hobbies which included wood working and auto repair. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Flora A. (McKinnon) Berrier, sons, Frank J. Berrier Jr., Ph.D. of Houston, Gerald L. Berrier of Buena Park, California, Ronald S. Berrier of Fox Island, Washington, and daughter, Loreen M. Benner of South Burlington, Vermont. In addition, he had eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren." NATIONAL FUNERAL HOME, Houston, Texas.
