Note: James started school in 1922 at the age of seven, at McCullough School in Clark County, Indiana the year after this Fetz Family moved back to the Falls Cities Area from Elwood, Indiana in 1921. They would have been residing at what was known in those times as Emery's Crossing, just to the east of the Silver Creek Bridge that divides Floyd from Clark Counties. They had lived there perhaps a year when this home caught fire and burned to the ground. They then moved to 94 Vincennes Street in New Albany, next to the approach to the K. & I. Bridge. James went to school up to the eighth grade when he quit to help his father work on the Vegetable Truck Route. This was common during those days. On Sept. 28th of 1935 James married Ruth Virginia Lee, the daughter of Edward Sylvester Lee and Caroline Fetter Lee of New Albany. James and Ruth were originally married by Justice of the Peace, Carl Turner, but later a ceremony was held in the Priest quarters by Monsignor Joseph Hamill, a Catholic Priest, to re-marry the couple in the Church. This was done to accommodate the parents of possibly both parties. 1937-38 NACD, Fetz James N.., emp Monon Veneer Co. residing in Jeffrsonville. 1939-40 NACD, Fetz James emp Monon Veneer Co. 1945- JCD, Fetz Jas N.
