Survived by 3 sisters: Mrs. Charles Miller of Marbelhead, O., Mrs. C. Viech of Winnipeg, Mrs. A. Frank of Buffalo. Survived by 1 brother: Joseph Lauber of Sandusky, Ohio Had 25 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren Buried in Kitchener Had lived in Kitchener for the 37 years before her death Predeceased by her husband, sons Mathias, Alex, John George, Markus & George Baptismal sponsors were Martin Hummel and Catharina Beitz Was the daughter of Joseph Lauber and Anna Beitz. Joseph was one of the early settlers of New Germany,(1831) along with Mathias Fehrenbach. Joseph died in 1837? on Lot 75 The Laubers and Fehrenbachs were neighbours. Lauber purchased lots 80 & 81 in 1832 (448 acres per lot) They were German catholics from the Upper Rhine Samuel Lauber came in 1818 Her death record stated that she died at 35 Water St. N. in Kitchener. She was widowed and was 76 years old. She was born in Woolwich on October 14, 1849 and was a housewife. She lived the last 13 years of her life in Kitchener. Her father was Joseph Lauber from Alsace and her mother was Anna Beitz from Germany. Her daughter, Sarah, reported her death. Sarah lived at 55 Water St.. She was buried on August 7, 1925 and she died on August 4, 1925. She died of auricular fibrillation, which she had had for 4 months (acute carbonization).
