  Janet Ewing Tagg, born at Lennoxtown, Campsie, on 28th May 1825. Baptized 3d July 1825. Married to John Fergus (who thereafter became Post Master) at Lennoxtown, on 21st September 1854, by the Rev'd Thomas Munro, Minister of the Parish of Campsie. Mrs. Fergus -(Janet E. Tagg.) died at Lennoxtown on 9th September 1884, aged 59 years and 4 months. Interred, beside her husband, in the Parish Church burying- ground, Lennoxtown.
