Fred Boory Dead Fred Boory, an old resident of Sumner County, died at his home on South Jefferson in this City Sunday morning at 11:00 o'clock. He had been ill since Thursday and suffered till his death w/a complication of troubles, including a bad cold on the lungs and heart failure. About a year and 1/2 ago he was attacted with a stroke of paralysis, from which he was slow to recover, but there was no return of that trouble before his death. Fred Boory was born in Stark County, Ohio on December 26, 1838, and was just past 65 at the time of his death. He went into the Union Army from Ohio, and came to Sumner County in 1878. He settled in Jackson Township on the quarter of land which he continued to occupy till one year ago, when he moved to Wellington to secure better medical attention. His wife and 4 children survive him, the children being, Mrs. D.N. McClain of Jackson Township, Will Boory, living here, John Boory, who teaches in Jackson Township and lives here, and Luther Boory, living at Walter O.T. The children are all here but Luther, and he will be in tonight. The funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian Church, of which Mr. Boory has been a member for many years, conducted by Rev. Cunningham. It is likely that the G.A.R. and Pyramids will have some part in the ceremony. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jackson Township.
