a. Note:   OCCU: farmer,vetinary /horse trainer RELIG: unknown John and Elizabeth (Burbidge) were married Mar.12,1810 at Barnack, Northamptonshire, England. John, Elizabeth and three children emigrated to Canada in 1822/23? Elizabeth died within one year and was buried under the corner of the Wesleyan Methodist Church (Hwy 3 East of Leamington; near the Hairsine Settlement). John left the children (refer to the story of early ancestors as related by Mrs. Victoria Foster at the Setterington Reunion in 1938) and, as found out in the 1980s by the author, returned to England to settle the estate of his parents, William and Mary, upon reason of their deaths with his brother, Reuben. He remarried in Wetwang, Yorkshire in 1824 to Elizabeth LeChevalier. Whether he attempted to return to Canada for the children is not known. His fate is still unknown.
