  W. Haskell Brown
  Died: 06-26-2002 W. Haskell Brown, 88, of the Kingsport Highway, Fall Branch, died Wednesday at Laughlin Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.
  Mr. Brown was an employee of Tennessee Eastman Co., now Eastman Chemical Co. in Kingsport, for more than 40 years.
  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch, where he was a former deacon and choir member.
  His family said he had a lifelong joy of singing, especially "shaped note" gospel songs.
 Survivors include his wife of 61 years: Katherine Underhill Brown; a daughter and son-in-law: Alice and Larry Bales of the Bethesda community; a son and daughter-in-law: James and Donna Brown of North Carolina; his grandchildren and special grandchildren-in-law: Wade Bales of Greeneville, Charles and Ruth Bales of Fall Branch, and Patricia Brown, Johnny Brown, and Kathryn Brown, all of North Carolina; a great-grandson: Alan Bales of Greene County; three sisters: Pauline Soyars of Kingsport, and Dorothy Morelock and Audrey Robinson, both of Greeneville; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Allen and Pauline Brown, Luther Brown, J.T. and Frances Brown, and Aubrey and Melba Brown, all of Greene County; several nieces and nephews; a special aunt: Frances Chase of Kingsport; and a special uncle: Bert Brown of Kingsport.
  He was a son of the late John and Earnie Hensley Brown and was preceded in death by three brothers: Roy Brown, Edgar Brown, and Grover Brown; and two sisters: Ruby Brown and Mary Lane.
  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Jeffers Mortuary.
  The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o�clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Victor Wallace will officiate.
  A graveside service will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning in Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
