Note: LEGAL: 1819 -- December 3, James, Jr. deeded 150 acres on the waters of the Little River to his son, John, for $400. This was the land he bought from Ann and David in 1816. J. R. Murdock was witness to the signature and the signature was proved in court by Andrew Murdock's oath. J. R. and Andrew were James' sons (Orange County, NC Deed Book 21, page 532).
MARRIED: 1824 -- December 16, Andrew Murdock, son of James, Jr., married Dicey Berry. Witnesses were J. A. Gray and J. Taylor, Jr (Orange County, NC Marriage Book).
