  Have info about the same on Charles 1660. He came from England 1682 from
  Dorsetshire with two brothers, Gabriel and John. Sailed on the "Welcome" a
  Wm. Penn flagship (over 20 flagships total) . Smallpox killed about 1/3,
  including his two brothers Gabriel and John. Landed at New Castle, NJ.
  Born in Staffordshire , England about 1660 d.in Rosemont, NJ.
  It would be nice if we could find anything in England about him. My dau
  and I went to England in May, and found the first recorded instance of the
  surname occurs in the Pipe Rolls of 1166; one Nickolas de Wolverton is
  listed therein. The surname can be traced to the medieval townships
