Houston Public Library John Garrett presumably was born about 1633 in England, and emigrated to the Colony probably as a young man. He might be the John Garrett who was indentured to Richard Arnold, a vintner of London, in 1648. He had been a prisoner who was brought in after the surrender of Colchester. His wife was said to have been Elizabeth Ware. He settled in New Kent Co., VA.
