MCCANN was ordained and the building and part of the tombstones were destroyed by a tornado that struck there in 1939 just as a funeral was over and the people were leaving. 39 were killed and most of them are buried there. The church was rebuilt and was in use when I visited there in 1984. The road is downhill as a slight angle when you come to the church on the right, traveling westerly. There is parking space and the entry of the church on that level. The cemetery is about 75 feet on to the west across more parking space between it and the church. The main road is steeper from the point of the church to a bend just beyond the cemetery and dirt road veers to the left and comes around the knoll on which the cemetery is located. The property behind the church and cemetery was timber land fenced off and marked "Crossett Lumber Co.". There are some large shade trees and shrubs and flowers planted about the cemetery. Both the church and cemetery were still in use at that time.] 1890-2-18 Deed James N. MCCANN and M. C. MCCANN, his wife, to D. M. Rowland for $250.
