a. Note:   ..Henry was one of the early settlers of Stratford CT and lived there for approximately thirty seven years. He then moved to Judeah (now Woodbury), where he died at his son Henry's home.
  "Henry Castle, born in England in 1613, sailed on July 4, 1635 for the New England Colonies in the barque "Transport of London", Edward Walker, Master. ""4 Julij 1635
  "Theis under-written names are to be transported to Virginea imbarqued in the Transport of London Edward Walker Mr p Certificate from the Minister of Gravesend of their conformitie to the orders & discipline of the Church of England."
  He first settled in Stratfield which was between Fairfield and Stratford, Conn. In 1666 Henry Castle married Abigail Dickenson of Woodbury Conn. She was born in 1645, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Dickerson. In 1673, the family moved to Woodbury where Henry Castle died on Feb. 2 1697/98 and Abigail died in 1725..."   Other spelling variations include Casel & Cassel.
  There is disagreement among researchers relative to the birth places/dates for some of Henry's children.

  Henry is listed as a Puritan in historical documentaries and apparently could read and write as he signed his name on his wife's step father's will dated 3/5/1666/7.
