Notes
a. Note:   In the 1850 Census, Furnal was spelled "Funnell". In 1860, Furnal was spelled Fernel.
Uriah is shown as being born in New Hampshire. The 1790 Census for that state, shows a large number of Furnal's living in Portsmouth and Middleton. Research of the LDS (Morman Church) records shows that the Furnal name was very common in England with many families migrating to colonies, especially New Hampshire.
In 1830, Uriah was living next door to his father, Joseph. The Howes were living two doors away from Uriah in Weatherfield, Wyoming Co., NY. Uriah and his wife have not been found in the 1840 Census, though from the census of his father's family, they may have been living with them.
