Vesta worked insetting up cancer research statistics in numerous hospitals. She researched our family for bread smashing. Us Evans kids would take a piece of bread and smash it in our hands untill it was a hard lump of bread, then we would eat it. Vesta wanted to find out just how many of us really did it. Pat my youngest sister Vesta and I began asking about each other and the rest of our sibblings and we decided we all smashed our bread. What fun that was we laughted so hard tears rolled down our cheeks. This is just one of the good memories I have of her.
