Note: As a child Ruth saved her pennies to donate for the McKinley monument after President McKinley was assassinated in 1901. Not always serious however, she loved to tell stories of family get togethers at the Cubbons where the youngsers would tease and play pranks such as tipping the out house. Also, while living in Washington, D.C. while her father worked on the catch basin project, she saw President Theodore Roosevelt one day as he left the White House. There is record of "stillborn Bidenharn" Cuyahoga County March 11, 1914.
