Note: original thirteen states. He had many cousins in Virginia, many wellknown as the Statesman Patrick Henry. The Henrys fought for theAmerican Revolution and have served with honor and courage in everymilitary action.
After the Revolution, he pioneered the unoccupied territories ofKentucky and settled in what came to be known as Garrard County,Kentucky. In the year 1788, Robert owned 5,583 3/4 acres of land(ref: Deed Book a Page 165 Madison Co.) in Silver Creek, KY.

In the name of God amen.. I Robert Henry of Garrard County and Stateof Kentucky being weak in body but of good mind and memory Thereforecalling to mind the mortality of my body Knowing it is appointed forall men of earth to die. I do make and ordain this my last will &Testament. That is to say first of all it is my will that all my justdebts and funeral expenses be paid and satisfied. In promises it ismy will to bequeath in the following manner, (First)?, I give andbequeath unto Jane Henry my dearly beloved wife her third of my wholeestate ant two cows and an good horse besides to her and her heirsforever.
I give and bequeath to the heirs or children of my daughter PollyPennington an equal share of my Estate with my other children after adeduction of what my daughter Polly received at her marriage withWilliam Pennington not allowing William Pennington to have anycontrols of the same. To them and their heirs forever.. after thechildren of my Daughter Polly Pennington gets their Equal divided ofmy Estate. It is my will that all the rest of my children (First)?,Robert Henry. Rachel Penland James H Henry and Elizabeth Nichalson beEqual shares in my whold estate real and personal after a last andfair settlement of what each one got before. To them and their heirsforever. I therefore revoke and dis(miss)? All which bequeaths ondeeds of gift by me heretofore make and ratify and confirm this and noother to be my last will an Testament. Nominating and do appoint mytwo sons Robert Henry and James H Henry my executors given under myhand and seal this 21, day of January 1850.
