Title: Saint Hyacinth's - D'Escousse, Record Type: church register
Page: Note that the entries for the period 1859 to 1865 are "re-creations", later derived from rough notes, and not considered to be as comprehensive or accurate as other periods.
Note: Deduced from the remarriage of Eugenie as a "widow" in 1869.
Note: . It seems probable that the Fr. LeBlanc knew of Eugenie as the then Mrs. Soloman and used that surname when reconstructing this record. The same is true for the record of the birth of their child, Edward. That the bride's surname was truly Pertus is consistent with the latter census records showing an Edward of the right age living with Eugenie and her second husband.
Note: The record actually shows the bride's surname to be "Soloman". These record were not made contemporaneously, but rather were reconstructed by a Rev. William LeBlanc of Arichat about twenty years later from scattered slips of paper
