To youngest son Jerial Madison Hoss all the land where I now live, 133 acres more or less, with appertances. Within or at the expiration of 3 years from this time to pay to the other legatees mentioned later (except Peter Hoss and Nancy Chapman), $450 to be distributed: to my son Andrew Jackson Hoss $75; to my daughter Rachael Elvira Duncan $75; to my daughter Sarah Sherfrey $75; to my son John Mulky Hoss $75; to my daughter Mary Ann Fletcher $75; and to my daughter Elizabeth Underwood $75. All other landed property of estate to the last mentioned 6 legatees - son Jerial to pay them $75 each, land to be equally divided among them. To Nancy Chapman $125, one good bed stead, bed and sufficiency of furniture for same, household & kitchen (sic) or fixtures as she may select from my estate, to be worth $25 as valued by disinterested men. To my son Peter Hoss $50. Other property held at my death, sold at public sale to pay debts and funeral expenses. If there is not sufficiency to pay above, all the legatees except Peter Hoss and Nancy Chapman, shall pay an equal amount. 6/7ths of twenty dollars with interest from the year 1845 be retained by Executor from my son Andrew Jackson, part of his bequest, to be equally divided except by Peter Hoss and Nancy Chapman.
