 School Board Member Killed in Auto Crash
  Mrs. Viola Holmes, 76, of Hosston, a veteran member of the Caddo Parish School Board, was fatally injured about 1:30 p. m. yesterday when the family car struck a cow and two calves on U. S. Highway 71 about three miles north of Belcher.
 Mrs. Holmes, who was en route to Shreveport to attend a meeting of the School Board, of which she was a member 29 years, was dead on arrival at the north Caddo Hospital in Vivian. Caddo Deputy Coroner Dr. Albert Thompson said she died of crushing injuries.
