Notes
a. Note:   In 1900 LA census, Caddo Parish Ward 1. Listed as 56 yrs old. Wife Susan and Susan's mother Martha listed in his household.
  In 1880 LA Census, Caddo Parish 1st Ward,Film T9-0449 pg.179a.
he is listed as 38 yrs old, wife Emely C. and 6 children.
I believe there is an error in Geo. W's age in the 1850 census. He is found in the household of Jacob and Sarah Hoss marked as "orphan" age 15 born LA.
If Geo. was born in LA and was 15 yr old, then that would place a Hoss family in Caddo Parish about 1835. There are no Hoss' in the 1840 census. From family information I have, Geo. W. was born about 1844 to Andrew Jackson and Tabitha (Hearne) Hoss.
