Elijah was 14 when he moved with parents in 1790 to the Pendleton District SC.
He fathered children by a woman that would later become his second wife -- while still married to his first wife. According to book (what book?) Elijah evidentally took part in Cherokee Land Lottery in Georgia. By 1850, he was in Gilmer Co GA.
His estate was recorded in Fannin Co GA. It appears that the Chastains moved from the Pendleton District between 1794 and 1800. Elijah was a witness to a deed in Pendleton 10 Sep 1794 but was not on the 1800 census.
