a. Note:   In 1930 census Elmira L. Betz is listed as living with her father and my grandmother, Mina, along with my father, Herman, and his brothers. Oddly, Elmira is listed as being 35 years old, whereas she would only have been 29. Ella is listed as working as a Secretary, type of industry is listed as "Presses". Above the listing for secretary, within the same field, is a word that I cannot decipher. It looks like "Storyteller".
