Wert was also known as Jack, and people called them Jack and Jennie (like donkeys), so she changed her name to Jeanne and quit calling him Jack. Mom remembers calling him Grandpa Jack, but all of a sudden it was changed to Grandpa LaSueur. Grandma was really mean to Ruth (daughter of Jack) LaSueur, so Aunt Flora Matilda took Ruth and raised her. Ruth grew up and married Frank Hampton, no children but adopted a girl named Patty.
