Note: [From her memorial service leaflet] Virgia Margueretta Urban was born at Oakland, Iowa on July 7, 1894. She was the daughter of John and Florence Carspecken Archer. She attended school in Oakland and Avoca. Following her schooling she taught school east of Avoca. She was united in marriage to Harry Buttenschon on January 7, 1914 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. They farmed south of Walnut until his death in 1933. After her husband's death she moved to Council Bluffs where she was the administrator of the Creche Orphanage. She was united in marriage to Edward F. Urban on October 6, 1934 at Papillion, Nebraska. They made their home on a farm near Wyoming, Iowa. She was active in county Health work. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, The Progressive Club and the Best Yette Club in Jones County, Iowa. In 1958 they moved to Walnut so that Virgia could help take care of her parents. Ed Urban passed away September 5, 1970. Virgia passed away at her home in Walnut on Friday, March 6, 1987. She had attained the age of 92 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and her yougest sister Velma Archer. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Violet Clough of Walnut, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
