Notes
a. Note:   From the Ticonderoga Sentinel:
  02/18/1926
 "Last week Thursday afternoon
the home of Mrs.. Alice Kelly and son
Marshall was burned to the ground.
The fire was caused by the chimney
burning out and they were only able
to save a very few things, hardly
any clothing. Much sympathy is felt
for them. Mrs. Alice Kelly's life has
been full of sadness; her husband
died and left her with three small
children, then a couple of years later
her youngest son, William, died, only
being sick a very few days; then
she gave up her home and came down
to keep house for her brother, Eugene
Doolittle. A couple of years after
he dropped dead; she then pur-
 chased the Doolittle homestead and
has lived there since; now her work
of a life-time is swept away. Mrs.
Kelly is one of Hague's finest devout
 Christian women. The neighbors and
 townspeople have given lumber and
some are giving their time to re-build
them a house and expect it will be
 ready to move into soon."
