Note: Fron the Ticonderoga Sentinel: 01/07/1892 "The season of the winter holidays has been made unusally sad to many by the death of Miss Ellen Doolittle, after a few days sickness. She was taken suddenly and dangerously with hemorhage of the stomach which continued at intervals for a week, and terminated in death on Monday, Dec. 28. Her father died last August and Ellen, being unmarried, still lived in the house as a source of comfort and cheer to her mother. This is a double bereavement to the widowed mother and relatives. The funeral was at the upper church on Wednesday, Dec, 30, and was largely attended by sympathizing towns-people.
