Note: Oliver B. Johnson was of the village of Edon, Williams County, Ohio. First, he declared that all his debts and funeral expenses would be paid. Second, he gave all the rest of his estate to his wife, Barbara A. Johnson, as long as she remained his widow. At her death, he willed $100 to each of his children by his first wife (unnamed). These children were Esta, Letta, and Carrie. The balance of his estate would then be divided between his son, Charles C. Johnson, and Charles' daughter, Levera. Third, he requested his wife to be the executrix of his will. Fourth, he wanted no appraisement of sale of his personal property. Fifth, he gave power to his wife to collect any debts owed to him and to sell any of his real estate as she saw fit. The will was signed by Oliver B. Johnson and was dated 12 Nov 1902. In the Application for Transfer and Record of Real Estate Devised, dated 21 Sep 1920, Oliver's real estate was describe as lot number 35 Hine's second addition to the Village of Edon, Williams County, Ohio. Sumbitter assumes this town lot was purchased by Barbara after she sold the farm in March 1903. The will of Oliver B. Johnson, of Florence Twp, Williams County, Ohio, was probated 10 Dec 1902. The will contains Oliver's signature. Notice of Appointment of Executrix appeared in the Bryan Press. Between 15 Dec 1902 and 19 Mar 1903, Barbara sold the following items: corn for $20.00, harness for $10.00, shovel plow and wagon for $15.75, one horse for $92.00, one cow for $40.00, one buggy for $10.00. She sold the farm for $4,400. She charged her son $900.00 for board. She made several payments between 15 Dec 1902 and 28 Mar 1904: $3.00 to the Rev. T. J.
