Note: Oesta and her husband, Charlie were renting and Charlie was a janitor at the resort Balsam Lake, Polk County, Wisconsin. Prior to Balsam Lake they lived in Eau Claire County. Lowanna notes there was a lot of logging going on in Wisconsin at the time. She also mentions that they may have moved to Washington for the silver and gold mining in the early 1900s.
