Date: Wednesday, September 25, 2002 6:53 PM Hi Cynthia: You never mentioned whether or not you had Peter's death certificate, but on it it says that his father was John Hanson from Denmark and hismother was Oline Odegaard born in Norway. I believe he had a sisterin Roseau County that was married to a Rinde and the only one thatcame close to age was a Ragnhild Caroline Rinde (born 5/20/1859 inRice County). Her death certificate said her father was Jens Jensenand mother unknown. I might not have the right Rinde however. Wouldyou like me to try some other avenues? Iwould be convinced if it showed his mother's name as Olague; Lenecould be a nickname. her maiden name was Olague Odegaard. The secondconfusing thing is that Peter's father is listed as Norway; Iremember that you said he was a Dane when you gave me the 1900 census. I can access that record on Ancestry.com but they are not indexed andit takes forever on my computer! Hi Cynthia: This search will be relatively easy. First off, do youhave Peder's death record? Usually, the parents will be listed andthe place of their birth. Second, could you give me the mother's newmarried name and step-father? Chat with you later. Loren
